| Cone Beam Volumetric Imaging |
|
With the advent of cone beam volumetric tomography, optimal three dimensional images are taken quickly on our patients. No longer is there a need to go in a lie-down, tunnel-type of machine. Our specific machine was the first of its’ type installed in a dental office in North America. Since that time, Dr. Horowitz has used this exciting technology to treat numerous patients, assist in research and development of new products and publish scientific papers. Our patients do not need to go to a hospital or imaging center for Dr. Horowitz to obtain the most accurate diagnostic and treatment-related information. With this technology, the ideal treatment, including image-guided-surgery, can be given to you. This will help you get the best, quickest, most aesthetic final result. These three images show stages in the implant planning phase of therapy after the patient has been scanned with our cone beam volumetric imaging. These images show the precision of implant placement possible with just one of the software programs we use for our patients. They also demonstrate the areas where bone grafting is required prior to or at the time of surgery. |
